Good afternoon CMS Families,
Happy 1st Day of School! This morning we had quite a few cars backed up in our carpool lane. It is very important that families follow the carpool procedures, so things move more smoothly in the coming days and weeks. Below are things to consider:

We encourage you to sign up for transportation and encourage your child to ride the school bus. Please know that all bussing is now free for all students, including walkers. If you are interested in signing up for transportation you can email [email protected] or call (952)975-7500.
- We recognize that the lines will be long for pick up and drop off in the first week of school. It is helpful if families follow the carpool procedures. This allows the traffic to flow smoothly. Please do not park in the parking lot and have your child walk across the parking lot. This can be dangerous for students and also impacts the flow of traffic. Also, please stay in your vehicle and have only your child exit the car.
- As you know it is the first week of school, things will take longer with 2,000 students in the building. Our goal is to get things flowing seamlessly and make adjustments as needed.
- At the end of the day all students will exit out of door 46. If you are picking up in the carpool lane, you should circle all the way around the building. Once your child is in your car, you do not need to wait for the car in front of you to move. Please pull into the other lane and exit. If your child has not entered your car pull forward.
