Stewardship of our Resources

October 2023

2023 Archdiocese of Louisville Accountability Report

Below is a link to the 2023 Archdiocese of Louisville Accountability Report. This annual exercise, which has continued in this Archdiocese for 33 years, flows from our commitment to transparency and responsiveness as we present an account of our fidelity to our mission to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and to the stewardship of our financial resources. The first section, entitled the “Report on Mission,” provides a sampling of the ministries, programs, and events that have animated our local Church over the last year. The second section is a “Report on Finances,” which provides information derived from the audited financial statements.

Five loaves of bread with two small fish and 5,000 families fed. Twelve baskets of leftovers gathered after everyone had eaten and had their fill. What an incredible testament to the miraculous power of God!

It has often occurred to me that there must have been others among the thousands that day who had brought at least...Read More

The Virtue of Generosity

Jeff Nicolas, pastor of St. Bernadette Church, joins Dr. Brian Reynolds, Chancellor of the Archdiocese, to discuss the virtue of generosity, how this is connected to our faith and how to build a culture of generosity and stewardship in our parishes. Fr. Jeff and Brian also will highlight the importance of the annual Catholic Services Appeal (CSA), and the podcast will close with reflections about the CSA from Archbishop Shelton Fabre.

New episodes of What's New in ArchLou will be available on the first Tuesday of each month in both video and audio only here.
