Dear Families of the MS 104 Community:

Happy Friday! I hope everyone's week went well. This past October, I submitted a project proposal to Councilwoman Carlina Rivera to have

our yard repaved in the basketball court area. The concrete in this part of the yard has sink holes that are in need of complete repaving. I am excited to announced that this project has been included on the ballot of proposals to be voted on for Community District Two! Constituents of this district are able to vote for the project they would like to have Councilwoman Rivera's office allocate funding towards through the participatory budgeting process. To learn more about this process and see a list of all of the proposals on the ballot, please click here.

Beginning tomorrow, Saturday, March 25th, constituents are able to vote for the project they support. Voting will remain open through next Sunday, April 2nd. There are multiple ways to submit your vote:

  • Online using the link here.
  • In person at one of the various voting sites that will be open. To find a voting site, click here.
  • At Councilwoman Rivera's office, located at 254 East 4th Street.

I am also working with Councilwoman Rivera's office to have members of her team set up a voting table outside the school to prior to morning entry a few days next week. As soon as this has been finalized, I will be sure to provide you with details.

I hope you will consider casting a vote for the Peter's Field Basketball Court Reconstruction Project. This project will improve the experience of our students during physical education and recess, as well as provide an upgraded recreational space for members of the community after school hours.

Please see some reminders below about our upcoming fundraiser, NYC Schools Survey, and state test administration.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Rocco Macri, Principal

Complete The NYC School Survey by March 31st!

Families are reminded that the window complete the NYC School Survey closes on Friday, March 31st. Completing this survey provides you with an opportunity to share valuable feedback about your experiences as a parent/guardian of our school community. The administrative team considers the responses of our students, parents/guardians, and teachers greatly when developing plans for the following school year.

Paper ballots were sent home with students a few weeks ago. Parents/guardians can complete the paper survey and have it handed in to your child's homeroom teacher. Surveys may also be completed online by visiting NYCSchoolSurvey.org. To access the survey, please enter a lower case "f" followed by your child's OSIS number.

I thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey. Your feedback is an invaluable resource and an important source of data to utilize when planning for our students and families experiences at our school.
