Construction Update
Exit 16 DDI
DATE: Friday, October 6, 2023
TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION:
Starting Sunday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m., through mid-week, during the nighttime hours of 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., U.S. 2/7 will be reduced to one travel lane in each direction between Mountain View Drive and South Park Drive to facilitate roadway work.

Monday, October 9, through Friday, October 13, during the daytime hours of 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the outermost northbound lane of U.S. 2/7 will be closed for independent utility work. Independent utility crews will begin working beneath the interstate bridges continuing south towards South Park Drive (near Burger King).

Motorists are strongly encouraged to use caution while driving through the work zone and pay close attention to signage as traffic patterns will change.
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
Next week, during the nighttime hours, crews will be conducting roadway work along U.S. 2/7 between Mountain View Drive and South Park Drive under lane closures. On Sunday, October 8, crews will be milling the full width and length of the roadway surface. Once milling is complete, crews will be setting structures in preparation for paving along the full length of the roadway. This work will take place predominately in the outermost travel lanes. Paving operations are anticipated to take place on Tuesday, October 10. Crews will pave the southbound lanes of U.S. 2/7 between Mountain View Drive and South Park Drive. Paving operations are weather-dependent.

Next week, during the daytime hours, Vermont Gas Systems will be conducting independent utility work along the east side of U.S. 2/7 between the Interstate bridges and South Park Drive under a single-lane closure. This independent utility work will continue over the next several weeks.
LOCATION: U.S. Routes 2/7 (U.S. 2/7) in Colchester starting at the Winooski town line and continuing north for 1.05 miles to Sunderland Woods Road.
