Earth Day at Stodgy - Saturday, 4/23 (2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
|
|
|
This Earth Day, Stodgy Brewing will host a cell phone recycling event! Cell phones will be gathered in our Bike Fort Collins bike-trailer and transported to the Timberline Recycling Center via bike the following Monday. We would be most grateful for two volunteers to help us table this event, providing Bike Fort Collins swag and information and educating folks about our various programs.

Kids in the Park Event - Sunday, 4/24 (10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
|
|
Kids in the Park, formerly Kites in the Park, encourages kids of all ages to get outside and play. At this City of Fort Collins annual event, community members learn about exciting recreation activities, play in the park, dance to live music, enjoy snacks from local food trucks, and of course, fly kites. BFC's Safe Routes to School Instructors will be their helping the city host a bicycle safety rodeo, but we're also looking for volunteers to help staff a BFC tent/booth to share all that we do with the community, including but not limited to our Legal or Not Quiz.

Ride of Silence - Wednesday, 5/18 (TBD time - Evening)
|
|
|
After doing two years worth of hosting this virtually, as a sefl-guided ride, we'll be holding a formal in-person gathering/ride this year to remember and honor those who’ve been hit & killed while riding or seriously injured. We'll need help with rider check-in, as well as ride leaders (LCIs) and/or on-route mechanics.

Summer Bike to Work Day & The Remington Bike Counter Challenge - Wednesday, 6/22 (7:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.)

|
In addition to needing volunteers at our traditional Bike to Work (Wherever) Day (BTWD) station, we'll also be planning to cheer on BTWD participants as they pass the Remington Bike Counter on Remington Ave. near the corner of Lake Street. 2022 is the year we break the current single-day record 1,737 riders. Bike From Work Bash - Wednesday, 6/22 (4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
|
|
Come help us and O'Dell Brewing host this fun culmination to BTWD. Everyone who shows up to the brewery on a bike at the end of BTWD (4P-7P) gets a FREE beer while they listen to the "Live" music. Plus, they can enter to win some fun prizes. We need help welcoming and greeting attendees, as well as registering them in a drawing for fun prizes. MORE INFO

Bike Prom - Saturday, 6/25 (TBD time - Evening/Night)
|
|
|
It's back, after a couple of year hiatus. And, we're planning for it to be bigger and better than ever.
Join us for a festive evening of music, dancing where fun will be had by all at The Lyric theater, featuring music from Gora Gora Orkestar, as well as a still TBD DJ.
We need volunteers for to help us that evening, as well as with planning. Be sure to select Bike Prom when you update your information and we'll capture your interest.

Foco Fondo Gravel Race/Ride - Sunday, 7/24
|
|
As a beneficiary of this ride (Foco Fondo donates a portion of proceeds toward Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programming), we support this event by hosting an aid station, as well as an SRTS booth at the Expo following the event--and we need volunteers to help with both.
|

Tour de Fat - Saturday, 9/3
|
|
As a beneficiary of this event too, it's our biggest volunteer need of the year. Truly an "All Hands on Deck" event for us. While an in-person event hasn't been able to happen the last two years due to the pandemic, we are super-excited for its return in 2022.

Tour de Farms - Sunday, 9/18
|
|
A fun and festive 30+ mile fundraising ride that begins and ends at the TBD local brewery. It is led by Bike Fort Collins representatives and features a combination of paved and gravel roads, along with 3-4 stops at local area farms. We generally need check-in volunteers, as well as volunteers at each farm stop.

Bicycle Film Festival - Saturday, 10/8
|
|
Having hosted two Bicycle Film Festivals (BFF) virtually over the past two years, we're stoked to be bringing an in-person festival to The Lyric this year. Similar to Bike Prom, we'll need various volunteers to help us pull off a successful evening. Stay tuned for more information as October draws closer.

|
