UNITED METHODIST MEN
All are welcome to the UMM meeting this Saturday, May 7, at 8:00am in Fellowship Hall. Breakfast will be followed by music and concluding with the annual Lee Cook Award ceremony and fellowship. The Lee Cook Memorial Award is presented by the United Methodist Men to recognize an individual for his or her service and dedication to Dayspring. The 2022 Lee Cook Memorial Award will be presented at the May meeting to Larry Butler to honor Larry for his many years of service and contributions to Dayspring.
WALKING THE LABYRINTH
Every year on the first Saturday in May, thousands of people around the globe participate in World Labyrinth Day as a moving meditation for world peace and a celebration of the labyrinth experience. We invite you to be a part of this powerful event in the Tempe courtyard this Saturday, May 7, at 9:30am. Pastor Shirley will give a brief introduction to labyrinth walking before we start. All are welcome.
GOING AWAY RECEPTION
Join us following this Sunday’s 9:00 and 10:30 Tempe services in the Fellowship Hall to celebrate and thank our Cherub Choir Co-directors, Amanda Osman Balzell and Kate Jelen. Together, they have provided our youngest singers with a solid foundation for healthy singing. Not only do the children learn a great deal about music, they also have a great time when participating in musical play-based games. Kate and Amanda have provided immense support to the children’s ministry as well as the music program in coordinating performances and the Christmas musical. We'll miss them!
PRISON MINISTRY
The next Dayspring Prison Ministry team meeting is in-person Wednesday, May 10, at 5:00pm in Room 112. All women who want to share in this ministry at some level are welcome. Please email Karen Spencer-Barnes with any questions.

You can go on this trip as a singer or as a member of the congregation as we hope it will be a true exchange with another congregation. Please join us for this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

A FUTURE WITH HOPE
Creating a future with hope takes all of us engaging in acts of giving, service, and missions. If you are looking for a way to be in service at church, we will feature a different volunteer opportunity in Tempe each week:
Help us bring back our coffee hour! We need Coffee Hosts to make and serve the coffee and lemonade. Hosts can choose to serve during and immediately after either service. Training is provided. Please email Jim if you are interested in helping!
