PULLATracker earns first place in 2023 Rohrer New Venture Competition | |
The 2023 Rohrer New Venture Competition presented its most competitive year yet with five innovative and high-growth business ventures competing for the top prize of $30,000, the most ever awarded to a Rowan student startup.
PULLATracker, 4U Medical Designs, Lushious Beauty, Art for Hope and Bobica Bars pitched their business plans to an industry leading panel of judges including Joseph Cosgrove (President and Chief Executive Officer of Leiters and Entrepreneur in Residence at Rowan), Shawn Hill (Co-Founder and Managing Partner at August Hill), Nika Corbett (Owner and CEO of Curate Noir), Mike Connallon (Executive Director, JP Morgan Chase & Chairman of the $25 million Rowan Innovation Venture Fund (RIVF) and Lauren Hanson (CEO and Founder of FlipMD).
Siena Rampulla (Psychology '23), took home first place for PULLATracker, a mobile app that ensures women feel secure on college campuses, earning $5,000 in non-dilutive seed funding, automatic acceptance into AccelerateRU, and a $25,000 convertible note investment from RIVF. The 2023 New Venture Expo winners are... | |
Over 50 idea-stage student startups took over Business Hall for the 2023 New Venture Expo. The startups were joined by nearly 70 industry-leading entrepreneurs and business owners that participated as Expo judges.
Ashley Kulikowski, (Psychology '23) took home first place for Art for Hope Studio, winning $4,000 in seed funding. Art for Hope Studio is an art studio specializing in eradicating the mental health crisis through their services.

The Expo featured the stARTup Gallery, located on the second floor of Business Hall, which showcased over 100 art pieces submitted by photography students and curated by Creatives 230. Tyler Allen-Williams (Radio, TV & Film '23) took home first place for his series of portraits.

Applications are being accepted for the 7th annual Think Like an Entrepreneur Summer Academy for high school students, a three-day, non-residential, educational experience for rising high school juniors and seniors.
