Registration is now open for RVCC’s summer classes, with sessions beginning May 22, June 12, and July 10. Summer is a great opportunity for college students to earn extra credits and save money and for high school juniors and seniors to jumpstart their college education.

RVCC is launching a new Adult Learners’ College this fall to help students age 25 and older fulfill their personal or career goals.

Hear about all RVCC has to offer by attending an Information Session in March. Upcoming events focus on the College’s Occupational Therapy Assistant, Beauty Professions, Automotive Technology, and Medical Assistant programs, as well as the Honors College.

The RVCC Foundation awarded $405,000 in support to 278 RVCC students through 70 different scholarships for the 2022-23 academic year. The funding comes from donors seeking to help RVCC students stay on track to attain their education goals. Details for the next scholarship cycle will be announced in a future issue of “Moments.”

RVCC Giving Day 2023 will be held on March 23 and represents an opportunity for community members to demonstrate their support of the College by making a gift of any size. This year’s Giving Day campaign is being supported by a generous benefactor who has offered a $50,000 “match challenge”; if the College can raise $50,000, it can receive another $50,000 through the donor’s match. The donation portal will be open 24 hours on March 23 for gifts of any size, supporting a wide range of student organizations, clubs, and College programs.

The Business and Public Service department will hold a Supply Chain Management Symposium, March 23, 1-3 p.m. The program will feature an education and networking event that is specific to careers and opportunities in the supply chain management profession.

RVCC recently hosted a site for the 2023 Global Game Jam. Twenty-six jammers participated virtually as part of the RVCC Game Jam site, producing six games using the event's theme, “Roots.”

Automotive Technology students in the Suspension and Steering Systems class recently removed and installed the “Rack and Pinion” steering gearbox in two Ram 1500 trucks that were supplied by the Mopar CAP program.

RVCC’s chapter of the Society of Women Engineers and Planetarium staff introduced local children to the wonders of science during Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District’s recent “STEM Day.”

The Arts & Design department is presenting Part I of its annual Student Art Exhibition through March 24 in the Art Gallery. The show features media from such disciplines as 2D Design, Book Arts, Color Theory, Drawing, Interior Design, 3D Design, Sculpture, and Printmaking.

The Theatre at RVCC will present Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience, March 24, 7 p.m.

The RVCC Planetarium is offering a variety of programs for all ages in March, including stars shows, a guided meditation session, and laser concerts featuring music by such artists as The Grateful Dead and Led Zeppelin.
