Dues & Membership Packages

Dues for the 2023-2024 Membership Year are set at $18 per student. The Board of Directors have approved a pilot program for the National Membership Packages.


Unlimited Members: $1400

Up to 25 Members: $620

(Additional Members at standard rate)


Other package benefits:

  • One (1) National Adviser Academy Registration
  • One (1) National Program of your choice (electronic version)
  • One (1) Lifetime Alumni & Associates membership for any one of their choice

Affiliation

Texas FCCLA chapters must affiliate through the National Affiliation Portal.


Important Deadlines:


November 1: Chapter advisors must electronically submit chapter member names in the affiliation portal in order to compete in STAR/Proficiency Events or run an officer.


November 15: Affiliation payment must be posted in the National Affiliation Portal

The number of members submitted by November 1 and paid by November 15 determines the number of competitive event entries allowed for the chapter for the year.

Power of One

Power of One helps students find and use their personal power. Members set their own goals, work to achieve them, and enjoy the results. The skills members learn in Power of One help them now and in the future in school, with friends and family, in their future at college, and on the job.

Explore.Act.Tell.

Explore. Act. Tell. is a new program for your students. Sign up for free resources including a kick-off leadership lesson and four interactive lessons with student and teacher lesson plans. After completion of projects they may be entered for a chance to win one of many grants up to $5,000 for a hunger focused charity.

Information from TEA

The CDA Guidance Handbook was created by the TEA Early Childhood Division as well as the Texas Workforce Commission. This may be a valuable tool for any district that is wanting to start having their students earn the CDA credential.

National Competitive Events Guidelines

The National Competitive Events Guide is in the Advisor Portal until November 1 for all chapters. After November 1, it will only be available to affiliated and paid chapters.

Just a reminder with the exception of Proficiency Events, Culinary Arts & Baking and Pastry, Texas FCCLA follows the rules found in the National Competitive Event Guide.

State Fair of Texas Ag Awareness Day


The State Fair of Texas Ag Awareness Day is Wednesday, October 11th. Check the State Fair of Texas Website for updates and information.

Seattle NLC Events & Activities Survey


The 2024 NLC will be in Seattle June 29-July 3. We are seeking input and preliminary numbers for travel. What would you like to see in a travel package? Which landmarks/activities do you want to experience/see? Please help by completing this brief survey.

LEAD

Region Officer Candidates

Any student desiring to be an officer must meet the officer qualifications found in the Constitution and Bylaws under Article VI. These are additional requirements that must be met to run for office.


Elected regional/state officers must attend with their advisor:

  • Officer Training - One Week in June
  • Region Executive Council Meeting
  • Region Conference
  • One Additional Region Conference
  • State Leadership Conference


All officers are encouraged to attend the National Leadership Conference.


State Officers have additional attendance requirements including CTSO Days at the Capitol, State Fair of Texas Ag Awareness Days Activities, and State Executive Council Meeting.
