Visiting Graduate Student Lecture on
Mexican poetic activism

On Friday, April 8th from 3:50-5:00 PM, visiting PhD candidate Marloes Mekenkamp (Radoud University, Netherlands) will give a lecture entitled "The affective operations of Mexican poetic activism-- reflections on the methodological challenges for the study of affect in art activist practices."

Lenguas indígenas en Ecuador

Join us on Friday, April 15 from 2:20-3:40 PM for a talk by Dr. Marleen Haboud entitled "Lenguas indígenas en Ecuador: Documentación-revitalización desde procesos integrados."

The talk will be given in Spanish and will adopt a hybrid modality, meeting in Hagerty 255 and via Zoom.

Celebrating affiliate achievements

Congratulations to Dr. Michelle Wibbelsman, who has been named to the Global Arts & Humanities Society of Fellows. The Society's theme for 2022-23 is Achival Imaginations, and eight faculty fellows have been selected to participate in a biweekly seminar and organize a culminating public-facing event. Fellows receive release time to focus on their work, as well as opportunities to engage with other OSU faculty and community organizations.
