PTO Meeting Attendee: Our first general PTO meeting will be held Wednesday, September 27th at 9:00 a.m. in the art room. For safety and security purposes, all attendees must sign up prior to arrival. Help us follow safe and secure procedures. Many thanks!

Hospitality Committee: a great way to begin your PTO journey!

Mum Planting: Help us make the grounds beautiful and bright with this seasonal planting. Parents, grandparents, and/or caregivers are welcome. This is an outside activity with no student contact, but is much needed. BYOS-bring your own shovel.

Meet the Masters: What’s Meet the Masters? The Meet the Masters Elementary School Art experience begins with a multimedia presentation followed by a fun interactive art lesson and project with the assigned artist. Through music, books, slides, posters, and videos, the children learn about the fascinating lives and famous works of Master Artists. *No art knowledge or experience is needed to volunteer for this program*

Enrichment is Here!

Enrichment is here! Fall enrichment is a PTO sponsored after school opportunity where students can enroll in various six week classes led by teachers.

What’s fall enrichment? Fall enrichment is a PTO sponsored after school opportunity where students can enroll in various six week classes led by teachers. Classes range by grade levels and experiences (i.e. play-doh, legos, yoga, gum and games, etc). Information including session descriptions, fees, and the all important registration date will be released shortly. For now, save the dates.

Fall enrichment classes will take place the weeks of October 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th November 13th, 27th with make-up classes, if needed, being offered the week of December 4th.

Fall Fest is Coming

What’s fall fest? Simply put, it’s a celebration of the season. Join us on Friday, October 13th from 4:00-5:30 p.m. for a free and fun community building event on the KRS grounds. There’ll be stories, crafts, games, a scavenger hunt, grade level scarecrow building, music, and snacks.

This is a BYO blanket event as we’ll have some seasonal classics like Room on the Broom playing for anyone who wants to sit and rest while sipping on some cider.

A sign up genius for attendance will soon be released, but please know this is our save-the-date for something special. Of important note, this event is open solely to KRS families. Additionally, this event will be held rain or shine. Finally, this event will require direct parent chaperones. Each child(ren)in attendance will need their own family chaperone.

Volunteer Love

Thank you to Sarah Campbell, Jacklyn Flavell, and Katie Hearn for organizing our fall social, which was well attended and a wonderful evening for KRS families.

Thank you to Mindy Matthews and Jen Potter for leading the way with picture day.

Volunteer Reminder

If you are in the building volunteering, you must sign in at the office. You cannot leave your volunteer assignment to visit other places in the building. Taking pictures of children is prohibited. We have a very generous agreement with the administration in terms of volunteering. Any volunteer who violates the rules puts our PTO’s agreement to protect and respect the privacy of children, faculty, and staff at risk. We thank you for cooperating and ensuring our volunteerism adheres to the rules put forth.

These rules will be reviewed at our general PTO meeting on 9/27.
