Hello Steve, Enjoy our Saints News!
HEAD OF SCHOOL MUSING

Saturday is the first day of fall, and it’s fitting that our Spirit/Homecoming Week follows. Saints News is full of exciting news and upcoming activities, but let me highlight three.

First, join us for the Fall Fellowship on Thursday, September 28th beginning at 6:00. All parents, students, and faculty/staff are invited. This has been an annual tradition dating back to the school’s earliest years. We will enjoy a great meal and celebrate our Saints involved in VCHS athletics or off-campus sports and activities. Don’t miss the class dances.

Thank you to our Parent Association for sponsoring the Fellowship, and a BIG thank you to them as well for funding our newly remodeled concession stand which should be completed next week. We’re so grateful to PA, especially Katie Rothenberg and Atlanta Meynier! Thanks also to staff members Mike McClinton and Casey Wyse for all of their support with this renovation.

Second, Friday afternoon and evening will be busy with Lady Saints Volleyball playing at home in the Wheeler Arts and Athletic Center followed by our football team who will be at home and under the lights at the Battle Mountain stadium. Let’s go Saints!

Third, if you’re an alum (or an alumni parent who can text or forward this to your alum) and you’re in the valley on Saturday, September 30th, please join us at Etown in Edwards from 5:00-7:00 for Welcome Home: VCHS Alumni Reunion for all VCHS graduates. Ms. Larson, our Director of Alumni Engagement, will be back in town for this event and many faculty will also join.

Next week will be a great opportunity to have some fun, change things up, celebrate all things Saints, and welcome our alumni home.

Go Saints!

VCHS HAS IMPLEMENTED SCHOOLPASS

VCHS is excited to launch our new attendance and visitor management system, SchoolPass.

A QR Code and Quickpin was sent to all students this last week. Students should add the QR Code to their wallet on their phones.

Alternately, students who prefer not to use their phones can use their Quickpin to sign in manually or come to the front desk and get a sticker with their QR Code and Quickpin to stick to their key card or ID.

Parents should have received an email last weeik with instructions on how to create a SchoolPass account and access the app. Parents can use the SchoolPass app to schedule late arrivals, early dismissals and absences.

Please contact Shannon O'Brien with any SchoolPass questions.

The VCHS Sustainability Cub in collaboration with Rustic Farm to Fork provide a seasonal fruit bowl to students and staff. This fall, the fruit bowl will be stocked with Colorado apples and pears from Austin Family Farms in Paonia. This is part of an initiative to support Colorado farmers and provide a healthy snack option for students to eat between classes. Scan the QR Code above or click here to donate to the Seasonal Fruit Bowl Project.
