Liz L'Hommedieu works in the Financial Institutions and Products group, which focuses on banking and financial services, of KPMG LLP's Washington National Tax practice. She is also a member of KPMG’s National Banking and Capital Markets practice tax leadership team. Liz has more than 16 years of experience in federal and state taxation, and provides consulting on a wide range of tax issues relevant to banking and capital markets. Current and past clients include leading entities in the financial services industry. She spends much of her time on federal tax planning, compliance, and provision work for banks and finance companies. She has worked on numerous projects for banking organizations, including internal restructurings, tax calculations, and accounting method changes. Liz also consults with financial services clients to identify and develop more efficient tax department processes, which include customized technology tools tailored for financial institutions. In addition, she has extensive experience with state and local tax planning and state tax technical support for clients in the financial services industry. Liz has assisted numerous financial institutions with successfully resolving state tax controversy issues and in redesigning structures to improve state tax efficiencies. Liz also consults with many regional financial institutions and consumer finance companies on information reporting processes and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FACTA). She assists taxpayers with evaluating FATCA impacts to banking and finance operations and with the design and implementation of target operating models for FATCA compliance. Liz has experience documenting financial institutions’ current processes for Chapter 3 information reporting and designing target operating models with technology, efficiency, and customer experience improvements. Liz has addressed federal and state tax issues at many tax conferences, including the Bank and Capital Markets Tax Institute; the Georgetown State & Local Tax Conference; and Tax Executives Institute local chapters. Liz has BA and MBA degrees from the University of Rochester and an MT degree from the University of Denver College of Law.
Shane Lieberman

Shane Lieberman serves as Executive Director and Federal Affairs Manager in the U.S. Office of Public Policy for UBS Americas Inc., which covers all of the primary units within UBS, including Wealth Management, Investment Banking, and Asset Management. In this capacity, Shane works with Senators, Members of Congress, and their staff on tax, pension, and retirement issues that impact UBS and their clients. Since joining UBS at the end of 2013, Politico, a DC based newspaper, noted that there is "a new power circle of K Street figures." Shane was named on this short list of DC power players. Prior to joining UBS, Shane worked on Capitol Hill for over 12 years. Most recently, he served as Legislative Director and primary policy advisor to Congressman Vern Buchanan. While overseeing Mr. Buchanan's legislative agenda he focused on tax, trade, and healthcare issues for the Congressman. Shane began his Capitol Hill career with Congresswoman Nancy Johnson where he started as an intern and worked his way up the ladder until he served as Mrs. Johnson's Senior Legislative Assistant. During his tenure for Mrs. Johnson, Shane advised her on a broad range of legislative and policy issues including, defense, homeland security, and foreign policy. Shane was born and raised in Avon, Connecticut and is a graduate of Ithaca College. He currently resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife, their two children and their English bulldog.

Elizabeth Sheehan is a Financial Advisor at UBS where she is dedicated to providing her clients with a holistic wealth management process inclusive of comprehensive financial planning and investment management. With over 17 years of experience at UBS, Elizabeth is able to deliver the best of the firm's resources to best serve her clients. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Elizabeth served as the Regional Wealth Management Consultant for UBS' Midwest region. In this role, Elizabeth partnered with the region's top financial advisors to provide comprehensive financial planning to clients. Previous roles at UBS include working on the Wealth Planning Sales team, as well as being a strategic analyst for the CEO of Wealth Management Americas. Elizabeth joined UBS in 2005 as a member of the Graduate Training Program, a two year program designed to give graduates exposure to several areas of UBS Wealth Management. Elizabeth Sheehan's financial planning experience has led to her being featured regularly on Good Day Chicago, WBBM Noon Business Hour, WCIU and in the Chicago Tribune and Fox Business News. Education Elizabeth is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®). She holds a Series 7, Series 66, as well as Health and Life Insurance licenses. Elizabeth graduated cum laude from Bucknell University with a degree in business management and a minor in Spanish.
