A Time to Support Each Other
On Monday, more than 100 Brooks employees attended a professional development session with child resilience expert Maria Trozzi, M. Ed, to discuss how the Brooks community can best support each other during times of crisis. We have added her do’s and don’t guide to our school website under Parent Resources.

  • Allow students to talk through their feelings and lead the conversation.

  • Keeping structure and routine scheduling in place provides for predictability and stability.

  • We are all in this together - students, families and faculty.

  • Adults at Brooks are here to support our students and talk about their wide-ranging emotions.

If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s advisor.
Homestay/Host During Spring Break
The Brooks community is a special one and it is strengthened by the diversity of the student body. The presence of students from around the country and the globe enhances the many opportunities offered at the school. Some of our students travel a long distance to be here and have faced numerous challenges with travel as a result of the pandemic. We are in the process of identifying any student who may not be able to travel home and who may need help in finding a safe place to be during the upcoming Spring Break. In addition, we are also trying to identify any families who may be able to host a student during part or all of Spring Break. If you are interested in hosting a student for the upcoming break, please be in touch with Associate Head for Student Affairs Andrea Heinze.
You're Invited to the Winter Musical, Rent!
It’s just two weeks away from the opening night of Brooks School’s winter musical, Rent: High School Edition. The performance will run February 24 - 26 at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage of the Center for the Arts. “This incredible group of student performers and technicians have pulled out all the stops to bring this pop culture phenomenon to life,” reports Director of Theatre Meghan Hill. All are welcome: Reserve your tickets and get details on our Firetrail Theatre Productions page.
Students enjoyed a warm breakfast treat in the Student Center after Chapel this morning.
