National Tennis Month
May is National Tennis Month, which is designed to help drive awareness of the sport and help bring new players into local programs. It's also an opportunity to energize existing players. The World of Tennis Sports Complex is a popular destination for tennis enthusiasts across the country, and has been apart of the Lakeway community since 1973. It features 16 outdoor courts. Tennis legends such as Jimmy Connors, Rod Laver, Billie Jean King, Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova competed on the courts during the early years, according to their website.

The City of Lakeway also has four tennis courts open to the public on a first come, first serve basis. The Live Oak Tennis Courts are located adjacent to the Live Oak Driving Range at 509 Lakeway Drive. CLICK HERE for those details.

Interested in learning more about tennis? The Lake Travis Tennis Association will host a FREE Family Tennis Play Day to introduce families to the benefits of the sport on Sunday, May 22 from 3-5 p.m. This free event is designed for children ages 4 through 12, along with their parents. The day will include fun tennis drills and games. Equipment, snacks and drinks will be provided. CLICK HERE for those details.

Tiny fairy and gnome homes line the trails directly behind City Hall from now through May 22, 2022. This is a fun and free experience for your entire family. The walk is enjoyable by day, but many of the features light up at dusk for a magical stroll. Be sure to take plenty of selfies during your stroll and tag us on social media using #LakewayEnchantedForest.
