"I'm trying to get people to see that we are our brother's keeper. Red, white, black, brown, or yellow, rich or poor, we all have the blues."
B.B. King
Color is laden with symbolism and "the blues" are no exception. The music of artists like B.B. King and Floyd Dixon of Marshall serve as a reminder of how much we have in common. Our best creative achievements are borne from universal hardships and heartaches.

In this issue we celebrate Dixon's birthday and get a glimpse of others' talented endeavors. They include the art of Adrienne Stine, works featured in the Plain And Simple exhibit at 211 Gallery in Athens, and a unique living experience at One Boot Ranch near Emory.

County Line Magazine offers inspiring stories of people, artists, and events. Visit our UPPER EAST SIDE TEXANS section for stories about people from the region and our new LIVE MUSIC section for local and virtual concerts.
