Spring is finally here, and we have so much to share!
Please welcome Mandy Medrano to the LCAC Team as the Ofrendas Coordinator! She brings a deep, lived understanding of the healing that comes with Día de los Muertos, and she embodies Indigenous teachings in her daily life.
Viva Southwest Mariachi Conference came back after a three year hiatus, and we couldn't be prouder! We were joined by over 150 students from across the state and announced the 2nd cohort of Mariachi Estelares. They will be opening the concert for Flor de Toloache at Levitt Pavilion Denver on September 16th, Mexican Independence Day! Please Save-the-Date!
The LCAC is excited to contribute to the historic gathering of the Cities Summit of the Americas with the world-premiere of TLAOLLI by Pardo-Heli of Mexico! You will have two opportunities to experience this breathtaking performance on April 26th at the Fábrica de Arte Américas and also on April 30th at the Denver Art Museum’s Día del Niño Celebration.
Adelante,
Alfredo Reyes
