SEPTEMBER 2023

“The trees will tell their secrets to those that tune in.”

- Steven Magee

September is for walking, hiking or riding through our beautiful forests in Western North Carolina.

It is also time to start a new Mystery Knit-Along! Get ready to enter the Secret Forest with designer Lisa Ross. This mystery wrap is filled with quiet surprises, beauty and adventure inspired by hiking through nature. We will begin our hike with instructor Barb Carroll, on Wednesday, September 6th, 2:00 – 4:00.

Click on the September Classes page to get class details. We are also going to carry MKAL kits from Emma’s yarn. You can pre-order now by calling us at 828-349-0515.

Fall Festivals are coming, and we are going to have a few of our own!

Join us for some fun Fall Festival knitting on September 15th, 29th and October 13th as we knit fall decorations for our homes.

Go to our September classes page to read about each class. Of course, you can’t have a festival without refreshments and who knows, maybe a few prizes?

Did you know we get together every Monday for spinning and/or weaving?

If you know how to weave or spin, then bring your wheel or Rigid Heddle Loom and join us from 11:00- 3:00 for a fun time with other fiber friends.

We are closed to the public on Mondays, but we open just for our spinners and weavers.

Want to learn how to spin or weave? Give us a call at 828-349-0515 to set up a lesson with Virginia.

Need help with a project? Dropped a stitch or having problems with a complicated lace project? We can help with that. Here is our store policy on helping customers:

  • If you have a knitted or crocheted problem that will only take 15 minutes or less, please call first to make sure one our staff members can help. It is not always possible for us to help on a drop-in basis.
