2023 Annual Conference Recap
Our Work Systems Track presented 7 sessions, including many student presentations, a Special Session focused on how Work Systems Education is adapting to rapid tool and process modernization and our annual Town Hall discussion. At the Town Hall, we shared (and collected feedback) on our work plan for the upcoming year. Key items include:

  • Provide top Work Systems resources via BoK/IISE Social Media Channels
  • Continue leveraging “It’s All About Time” to strengthen our identity and guide content.
  • Identify existing technologies impacting the work systems body of knowledge.
  • Continue pursuit of NSF Grant around “Future of Work”.
  • Develop Student Engagement program to double student membership.
  • Create a roster of industry professionals that academics can access for “Beyond the Textbook” support.

Communications Update
We have taken the opportunity to restructure our communication platform with the sunsetting of IISE Connect to best serve the 1,500 members in our Division.

Work Systems LinkedIn and InstaGram pages have been developed and will be our main channel of communication. You can expect to see weekly content of Work Systems related topics.

Many of you have joined already, for those that have not, the links are below.
We will continue with our semi-annual newsletter and miscellaneous information (i.e. Conference Details) will be sent out through IISE.
Student Volunteers Needed
Over the past year, we had the benefit of 3 very engaged Students (Annalina Reis/Gannon University, Cody Chitwood/Wichita State University and Ben Hartley/Purdue University) that worked with the Board to rough out our Communication Plan. With those students graduating, we are looking for a new group to continue evolving our plan. If you are interested, please send an email to Ideas@allabouttime.org to volunteer to request more information.
2024 Annual Conference
The 2024 Annual Conference will be held from May 18-21, 2024 in Montreal. While it’s 9 months away, activities are getting underway to develop and plan the content. A Call for Abstracts will be published in October, and we look forward to our Work Systems Members providing some great content to be included in the Conference. We are always looking for volunteers to help review abstracts/papers and developing Special Sessions for the Conference. If you are interested, or would like more info, please send an email to ideas@allabouttime.org.

We also have a few Division Awards that are part of the Annual Conference Process. Follow the links below for more info:
