Stewardship Kick-Off

Genesis 2: 1-4, 15 and Exodus 20: 8-11 (CEB)

2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all their multitude. 2 On the sixth[a] day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all the work that he had done. 3 So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.

4 These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created.

Another Account of the Creation

In the day that the Lord[b] God made the earth and the heavens,

15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and keep it.

8 Remember the Sabbath day and treat it as holy. 9 Six days you may work and do all your tasks, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. Do not do any work on it—not you, your sons or daughters, your male or female servants, your animals, or the immigrant who is living with you. 11 Because the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything that is in them in six days, but rested on the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

For the fourth year, Avondale will celebrate the talents and gifts of local artisans with the annual Christmas Marketplace at Avondale. 

We are ready to begin registering vendors for our 4th annual market to be held December 3. Previous vendors, watch your email for a letter from Cheryl Judd-Magee. New vendors, check out our Interest Form on our website!  

Avondale Adventures

The next Adventure begins Oct 5! Registration will open Tues, Sept 13. This program of fun brings Bible lessons, music, crafts, activities and loads of fun. Find out why kids have been returning again and again! 

PWA Bible Study - Sept 13

Save the date to join other women at Avondale for a time of study and fellowship. The next Bible study topic will be selected when the group resumes meeting on Tuesday, September 13 at 1 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Gatherings following this will be on the 1st Tuesday at 1 PM.
