ACKNOWLEDGE KINDNESS

As our Culinary Arts Program faculty and staff “inspire their students and celebrate the diversity of food and cultures throughout the world,” they are offering an opportunity to acknowledge the many kindnesses we see happening every day on our campus!

Nominate a college faculty, staff, or student you observe perform an act of kindness. They will be acknowledged for their kindness and eligible to be randomly selected to receive a delectable lunch from the Paniolo Grill.

🌸 Our very deserving winner in Week 14 is Regina Corniel, Academic Affairs – Regina Corniel displays kindness every day in her welcoming smile and readiness to help. Recently, Regina represented the state autism advocates in raising awareness of autism issues with all four members of our Congressional delegation. Regina's kindness extends to her colleagues at Maui College and her community. Mahalo, Regina for all that you do!

Also, acknowledged for his kindness is:

🌸 Keali’i Ballao, TLC – Kealiʻi goes above and beyond when it comes to assisting students struggling with their assignments. He takes the time to get to know the individual circumstances of each student and is always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate them. On several occasions, I noticed that he was working after hours on his own time to help students with their assignments. He is such a positive role model to the students that he mentors, and he deserves recognition for his unwavering commitment to student success! 🌸
