A Love Letter from the CEO
At this time every year, IECRM focuses the February eNews edition on our love for you and the electrical industry. We love when you share stories of “that’s my project!” We love it when you schedule meetings in the building at the IECRM main & Ft. Collins campuses; it brings energy to the building in the daytime just as apprentices light up the classroom in the evening. And we love celebrating your business milestones and learning with you about the innovations and evolutions in the electrical, energy, and systems contracting industry.
And please note there are 3 things we would love for YOU to do this month to share the love!
-
RSVP to attend the BJ4C Reception. It is critical to our industry during this legislative session to embrace the political process and be an active participant. The session is still early and we are rapidly seeing bills introduced or considered that will impact the electrical, energy construction industry, and general business. I would love to see you there and introduce you to your locally elected state legislative leaders. They love to hear from you also on the issues that are important to Colorado, our workforce, education, and the economy. Drinks and appetizers will be served.
-
Sign up to engage in one of our active Committees. The following committees have a full agenda for 2022 and we look forward to seeing & learning from you: Government Relations, Events, Membership, Safety, Emerging Leaders, and Diversity & Inclusion. Many of these committees now meet via Zoom so members and partners throughout our association territory can participate, meet new contacts in your network, and learn more about giving back in the industry.
-
Submit your nomination for a 2022 IECRM Summit Award. The newly reformatted online applications are ready for your nomination for the people, projects, and innovations you have been part of over the last year. If you’ve never submitted for a summit award before, this is your year to do so, with new and expanded categories so that every size company and specialty niche within the industry can be recognized for your accomplishments! More details about IECRM Summit Awards can be found here. If you need help getting started, email me at marilyn@iecrm.org.
February is American Heart Month. The last two years have caused us all to feel as if we’ve sometimes skipped a beat. Stress levels have soared while physical and mental health habits have been challenged. Use this annual heart awareness month to refresh yourself and your team on the warning signs of a heart attack and stroke. If your team is not fully trained on CPR and first aid, IECRM offers CPR certification for the industry at our main campus or for your company at your location. Contact Londell@iecrm.org for more information.

All our love,
Marilyn & the IECRM Team
