The Book - The Bible Through Time and Space exhibition
Opens Sunday, March 6 in the Atrium
The Word in Art, the redesigned Lenten exhibit, features a mid-1800 edition noted for black and white engravings, the John Brown Bible published in 1859, and The Life of Our Lord Jesus Christ, published in 1899 with engravings by French painter, J. Please join us for this meaningful service on the first day of Lent and holy day of prayer. During the service you can elect to have ashes placed on your forehead, which is a sign of our humanity and a reminder of our mortality. Dinner is $5 per adult and free for children 12 and under. This eight-week class will be taught by pastors and friends on topics including medical ethics, human sexuality, science and faith, and more. Topics are:

  • Feb. 2 - Human Sexuality and the Common Good - Taught by Revs. Jim Miller and Wes Vander Lugt
  • Feb. 9 - Critical Race Theory and the Racial Divide - Rev. Anthony Scott of First Baptist North Tulsa will speak in this class.
  • Feb. 16 - Science and Faith - Rev. Jim Miller and Prof. Jerry McCoy will speak in this class.
  • Feb. 23 - Discovering Spiritual Practices - This class will be led by Rev. Jim Miller, Duff Points and Julia Metcalf.
