Weekly News Update

Dear Friends in Christ,

Alleluia, Christ Is Risen! The Lord Is Risen Indeed, Alleluia! What a glorious Easter it was!

Once again, I am full of gratitude to the many people who served graciously and brought to life Holy Week and Easter. Please help me thank and express our most sincere gratitude to the Acolytes, Altar Guild, Chalice Bearers, Choirs, Crucifers, Flower Guild, Lectors, Master of Ceremonies, Musicians, Thurifers, Staff and Clergy for their leadership, dedication and support. I was so pleased that Bishop John Taylor was able to join us; I know that it meant the world to him to celebrate Easter with us. One could feel the radiating love.

I was told that the good people of St. John’s disappear between Easter and October. Is this true? Please know we will be here! I would welcome the chance to hear what you enjoy about church, and what’s missing, as well as your vision and dream for our Cathedral. As the body of Christ in this world, we need each other to make all things possible. I hope you will join us again and again. May we grow in Christ together.

With God’s love and blessings,

Anne Sawyer

Interim Dean & Priest-in-Charge
