Medicare fraud is a serious problem. Medicare loses an estimated $60 billion

each year to fraud, errors, and abuse. Every day, these issues affect people across

the country and can lead to identity theft and cost you money. The good news?

Some simple tips can help you protect yourself. The Area Agency on Aging District 7

(AAA7) partners with the Ohio Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) to help share

information and education about Medicare fraud and how best to protect yourself from being the victim of a scam. The week of June 3 – 9 is Medicare Fraud Prevention Week.
