Erie is the hometown of: Tom Ridge, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Governor of Pennsylvania, and U.S. Congressman Ann B. Davis, known for her role as Alice on TV's Brady Bunch Joe Root, a 19th-century naturalist who lived at Presque Isle State Park Paul Siple, the Antarctic explorer who developed the wind chill factor Mark Stepnoski, professional football player, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston/Tennessee Oilers. He attended Cathedral Preparatory School and went on to star at the University of Pittsburgh.

Member Spotlight - Capital Region Water Recently, Charlotte Katzenmoyer, CEO, of Capital Region Water (CRW), was featured in a Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation video (4:55) that highlights the importance of a forested ecosystem as it directly relates to clean water. As some may be aware the award-winning drinking water CRW supplies to homes and businesses has traveled a long way—approximately 20+ miles. The DeHart Reservoir is a remote, secure, and pristine reservoir located in nearly 8,000 protected acres of forested hills just north of Harrisburg.
