A Message from the Associate Principal

EPHS Families,

Welcome to Term 4! One of our favorite parts of working with your students is the different seasons of the school year and what each has to offer for the high school experience. That said, Spring is definitely one of the most exciting and energizing times to be an Eagle. As we launch the last stretch of the school year, we’ll have many opportunities to celebrate milestone moments with our students, and we’ll continue to double down on our commitment to ensuring that each student is finishing the school year strong academically.

One exciting and new feature of Term 4 will be the pilot of an altered Friday schedule the weeks of April 18, April 25, and May 2. A top idea this year in our crowd-sourced platform for student voice and innovation, Eagle Voice, was the addition of more FLEX time into our weekly schedule. Through multiple design workshops with staff and students, we have landed on a new Friday schedule that we will test run these weeks with the potential to extend for the remainder of the year.

In the schedule below, you’ll see that these Fridays will begin with a version of FLEX time called Eagle Time. We’re looking forward to bringing this idea to life as we continue to co-create what we want the EPHS experience to look like with our students. We’ll continue to support students with the details of Eagle Time listed below and will also include a reminder for you in next week’s EPHS Weekly. As always, thank you for your support and please reach out with any questions!

Victor Johnson
