From the Flight Deck
Greetings!
It’s showtime! It’s time for students to show what they know on the state assessments this week. Throughout the school year students have worked hard and prepared for this. Monday and Tuesday students will take FSA Reading Session 1 and Session 2. On Thursday students will take Session 1 of FSA Math, Algebra or Geometry EOC. On Tuesday students will take Session 2 and 3 of FSA Math or Session 2 of Algebra or Geometry EOC.

The full testing calendar is below. Due to testing we will be on modified bell schedules during test days. Due to the modifications students will be having later lunches and I encourage students to bring extra snacks. On each test day I also want to encourage students to get a good night’s sleep, eat a good breakfast and come to school on time prepared for test day. Coming prepared for 7th and 8th graders also means bringing their charged laptop and their charger since their testing is computer based.

This week is also Teacher Appreciation Week. I want to recognize the amazing faculty and staff here at Legacy. The flight deck would not have smooth operations without you. Our students are prepared for this test week because of all of your hard work with our Jets. Throughout the week we have some fun things planned for our teachers to recognize them. I also want to encourage students to recognize their teachers as well. Below we have also shared some ideas of some things students can do to recognize their teachers.

Thank you,

Principal Jiménez

The Kiwanis of East Orlando, are having their Tons of Tuna Drive for our homeless in the community. The class with the most donated cans of tuna will receive either a donut party or a pizza party. It would be your choice. Please drop off your donations to Ms. Darby’s room # 809 or Ms. Archer’s room #618.

The drive ends May 12. Thank you very much for your support.
