"The Polar Express" movie night on Dec. 18
Cleburne Parks and Recreation will host an outdoor showing of the family movie "The Polar Express" on Dec. 18 at Hulen Park.

This free event takes place the park's gazebo. Pre-movie activities and food vendors open at 4:30 p.m. with the movie beginning at dark. Attendees can bring lawn chairs and blankets.

This G-rated movie is based on the 1985 children's book of the same name. The animated film tells the story of a boy who goes on a magical adventure on a wondrous train on route to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.

Texas Parks & Wildlife stocked Buffalo Creek with 900 rainbow trout at Hulen Park.

The community is invited to partake in this winter tradition. Because rainbow trout are unable to survive in Texas after the winter, anglers are encouraged to keep up to their daily bag limit of five trout. This annual event is part of the state's Neighborhood Fishin' program.
