Safety Announcement
This time of year is a great time for kids to enjoy different outdoor activities which may include riding various electric vehicles such as scooters, bicycles, etc. While these vehicles are a ton of fun to use, they can also be very dangerous if proper safety practices are not followed. This has been the case on many of our streets as of late.
Many of these motorized vehicle-related crashes resulting in injury are associated with the riders behavior, including such things as not wearing a helmet, riding into a street without stopping, turning left or swerving into traffic that is coming from behind, running a stop sign, and riding the wrong way in traffic. To maximize safety, please always make sure your children wear a helmet AND follow the rules of the road but most importantly make sure that they are not riding into the street and oncoming traffic. Please be sure to go over this very important topic with your children.
