Online Back to School Registration

Nearly all back to school forms will need to be completed online through the SISK12 Parent Portal by August 9. ALL students (preschool through 12th grade) must have a parent/guardian complete these required forms. Take note that specific forms must be completed for students to participate in various activities, including technology usage.

As a reminder, the SISK12 Parent Portal is a tool that makes the back to school form process as easy and smooth as possible for our families. Families can also use it to monitor items like meal balances, grades, attendance, etc. We recommend using it throughout the school year!

Click here for the SISK12 Parent Portal. This can also be accessed through the district's free mobile app. As a reminder, to login use the email address you have provided to the district and enter the password you have created. If you’ve forgotten it, simply click on the “forgot password” button and follow the prompts. For other SISK12 Parent Portal troubleshooting tips, click here

Notes Regarding Back to School Forms

Please take note of the following items that pertain to the online back to school forms found in the SISK12 Parent Portal.

RepMO Ready Technology Plan: Every student in kindergarten through 12th grade will be issued a take-home technology device as part of the RepMO Ready plan. Our goal is to provide a digital learning device to all students for use both at school and at home. Students are responsible for the care of their assigned device at all times, both at school and home. The district strongly encourages families to purchase an Accidental Damage Protection Plan (ADPP) explained in the online form found on the SISK12 Parent Portal. Students will not be allowed to use school technology resources until the appropriate online form has been completed. Click here to purchase ADPP online. Payment can also be made at Open House events or in the building office. The deadline to purchase ADPP is August 29

Secondary students will take their devices home daily. Elementary students will keep their devices at school until winter weather season approaches. During these winter months, elementary students will take devices home when potentially severe weather is in the forecast, which will allow the district to implement AMI (virtual learning) days, if needed.

Student/Parent Handbook: The Student/Parent Handbook provides a summary of the practices, policies and procedures our district follows. Please review the document here. The handbook will remain on the website throughout the entire school year, and printed copies can be requested by contacting our building office. Digitally signing the online Policy and Procedure Acknowledgment form indicates approval of this document.

Free/Reduced Meal Application: The Free and Reduced Meal Application is available for families to fill out on the SISK12 Parent Portal along with other forms required during online registration. Take note, qualifications for this benefit may have changed and the application must be filled out to utilize this benefit during the 2023-2024 school year.

Keep in mind, the Free and Reduced Meal Application affects more than just meals. It provides funding for our schools, discounts for families, as well as scholarships and financial aid for students. In addition, families who qualify for free and reduced meals may also qualify for the following:

  • Reduced ADPP fees, as well as discounted home internet services
  • Discounts on ACT test fees, college application fees and some dual credit courses
  • Discounted tuition for the Republic Early Childhood Center and STRIPES 360 programming

The First Day of School is August 21st!

  • Only incoming kindergarten students can be walked into Schofield on the first day.
  • Kindergarten families wanting to participate should arrive at 8:40 a.m.
  • This will only occur on the first day of school

School Bus, Drop-off, & Pick-up Procedures

Drop off: 8:10-8:30 a.m.

Pick-up: 3:40 p.m. from Mon.-Thur. & 2:40 p.m. on Fri.

In order to keep the safety and security at the forefront of our decisions, Schofield is making a change to better secure the front vestibule for students as well as reduce the front office traffic. Beginning this year, students may only be dropped off or picked up through the car-line or by bus. Parking and walking up in the morning and afternoon will no longer be permitted. This is in congruence with all other Republic Elementaries. This practice will ensure a safer parking lot and reduce instances of traffic accidents along Anderson Street.

Schofield office will be open for visitors at 8:30 a.m. If you need to drop off anything for your child's class, a staff member will be happy to take it from you in the car line and deliver it to your child's classroom OR you may drop it off at 8:30 a.m.

Please collect your car sign during open house and have it posted on your dash each day during pick up. Please do not line up prior to 3:15 p.m. to allow access for emergency vehicles.

It is our goal to get students with families within 12-15 minutes.

Please refer to the Traffic Flow Map for drop-off and pick-up procedures

Weekly Schedule and Early Release

To allow for more calendar flexibility, and in response to a survey in early 2023, 10 minutes were added to the end of each school day for the 2023-2024 school year. For more information about this change, click here.

For the upcoming school year, Monday through Thursday school hours will be the following:

  • EC: Class times vary, please refer to communication from EC regarding your student's schedule.
  • Lyon, McCulloch, Price, Schofield and Sweeny: 8:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
  • RMS: 7:40 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
  • RHS: 7:30 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.

EVERY Friday, students will be released one hour early to provide teachers time to collaborate for student learning. This impacts all day preschool students through 12th grade students. Partial day preschool students are not impacted. Click here for more information on Friday Early Release. On Friday Early Release days, start times will not change, but release times will be as follows:

  • Lyon, McCulloch, Price, Schofield, Sweeny and All Day Preschool Classes: 2:40 p.m.
  • RMS: 1:50 p.m.
  • RHS: 1:40 p.m.

STRIPES 360 offers after school care for families who only need care on Friday Early Release. Learn more about that program here.

Food Service

The district Food Services Department offers daily breakfast and lunch options. Meals may be prepaid by submitting cash/check to the school office in a sealed envelope with the student(s) name and amount enclosed on the outside of the envelope. In addition, through the SISK12 Parent Portal, families have the option to make online meal payments through a secure system, ConnexPoint. Like other online payment systems a processing fee is applicable. ConnexPoint charges a 3.99% processing fee for transactions. To make an online meal payment, simply log in to the SISK12 Parent Portal, select the Meal Service Balance icon and follow the prompts.

Transportation Department:

Students who selected they will be riding a bus this year during online registration will need to login to the Parent Portal to see bus information. Bus letters are no longer mailed out. For those who have completed online registration by August 9, bus information will be viewable on August 17 in the SISK12 Parent Portal. Those who have not completed online registration by this date will experience a lag in being able to view transportation details in the SISK12 Parent Portal.

Additionally, those needing to utilize the shuttle buses from the high school to the middle school can find information at the Transportation office beginning August 17.

If you do not see any bus information in the SISK12 Parent Portal August 17, please call the Transportation Department at 417-732-3680. Information is updated nightly in the SISK12 Parent Portal.

Due to the volume of students being routed, bus stop locations and times need to be adjusted, so please check the Parent Portal the day before school starts for the most up to date bus stop information.

All Hardship Waivers for transportation must be renewed every year. Forms can be found here or you may contact the Transportation office for further assistance. Hardship Waivers can take a few days to process for approval and routing.

The safe transportation of our students is a top priority for the Republic School District. To ensure that each route and trip provided to our students is safe and pleasant, it is imperative that a safe, clean and controlled environment is provided on the bus. In that regard, we ask that all bus riders and guardians review the bus riding expectations listed here.
