Building Knowledge for Healthy Living

Recap

This past weekend, we hosted a successful family wellness event titled "Inhale Knowledge, Exhale Change," focusing on educating youth aged 12-17 and their parents or guardians about the harmful effects of cannabis, tobacco, and vapor use.

During this informative and engaging session, participants gained valuable insights into the importance of maintaining their health and the dangers associated with substance use. We emphasized preventive measures and provided practical advice for families to incorporate into their daily lives.

We were delighted to see a great turnout and active participation, which highlighted our community's dedication to promoting health and wellness among families. Mission Africa is grateful for all our attendees' support and participation.

Raspberry Pi Learning Success!

This past weekend, we hosted an exciting and interactive session introducing students to Raspberry P to provide learners with a hands-on experience with one of the most versatile tools in technology today to introduce kids to computer programming. Students worked together, following step-by-step instructions to bring their Raspberry Pis to life. They discovered the potential of this tiny computer and how it can be used for various applications, from simple programming tasks to more complex projects. The hands-on nature of the workshop provided an excellent foundation for their journey into technology and programming.

We remain committed to empowering our youth with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today's digital world. We are excited to announce our next class, Cyber Security and Internet Safety, which will take place on June 22 from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.

It is crucial that we protect our children from the dangers of the internet. This class will equip them with the knowledge to navigate the online world safely and securely. We encourage parents to register their children for this important session.
