From the Board
It is hard to believe that we are midway through the Summer, I hope everyone is enjoying some down time with family and friends to celebrate. I hope the air quality and heat wave doesn’t keep you from getting refreshed and rejuvenated for a busy fall.
We had a productive meeting with the WW Board of Directors in June in Barcelona. The divisions were well represented, and we had a few new members to welcome. Among other things, we discussed the following important items:
Membership – reviewed the types of memberships and the requirements for each level. We are excited to see the WW Division and Chapters support an examination for professional membership. Having standards across the FCSI family is very important. We will also look at making our Senior Associate membership more of a steppingstone to professional membership and allow more time in this category.
Marketing – you may have noticed that FCSI WW has a new website. This will continue to be a landing spot for FCSI, but now each division will have its own website that will branch out from the WW site. We in the America’s Division are hard at work to get our site up and running and expect that it will be in place very soon. Thanks for your patience in the interim and please direct any questions on events or items to Wade and his team in the meantime. We are VERY excited to be able to influence our own material and content.
FCSI Asia Pacific Conference – This inaugural event is happening in Western Australia November 13-17th and will focus on “The Business of Consulting”. We are excited to support this division as they continue to work on membership growth in their vast geographic area. If you have Australia on your bucket list, combine some fun and business!
We hope to see you at the Latin America Summit in Panama next month (Today's the last day to register!), and if we don’t connect there, Cheers to a wonderful rest of your Summer!
