What's Happening at Rindge Commons

There have been many exciting updates at the site. The building has taken form, the roof is getting placed, and the windows are getting installed. The structure is completing its air vapor barrier wrap up and getting ready for the siding to be placed. Interior building signage design is underway with the sign design team. 

Just A Start launched a $4.25 million campaign to provide needed funding for Rindge Commons. We welcome Cabot Family Charitable Trust, Eastern Charitable Foundation in memory of Monica Wulff Steinert, and Loren J Wilson to join many leadership donors to support the Economic Mobility Hub at Rindge Commons. To date, we have raised over $4 million, 95% towards the goal!

Last Dollar In Challenge and Double your Impact! An anonymous donor has offered a challenge grant of $200,000 for any donations towards the capital campaign. Miriam Ortiz Honored by Cambridge Chamber of Commerce

Just A Start's Director of Education and Training, Miriam Ortiz, was honored by the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce at a ceremony celebrating women leaders in the Cambridge community last month. The Inspire Awards recognize the commitment and contributions of outstanding women leaders, and Miriam was named among a total of 8 awardees. Congratulations, Miriam! Alumni Meets Current Students for Career Advice

Information Technology Adult Careers program students welcomed class of 2021 alum Preetpal Singh Saini to their Career Readiness class. They learned about Preetpal's career path, why he chose IT, how he came to Just A Start, as well as the details of his current role IT Support Specialist with Medford Public Schools.
