EASTER SERMON SERIES - DECONSTRUCTION
Deconstruction. It’s a hot word right now. Maybe you’ve gone through it before. Maybe you’re currently going through it now. Maybe one of your good friends or family members is going through it. Maybe you don’t even know what it means. In its simplest form, deconstruction is the breakdown of something to get to its true meaning. We can deconstruct ideas, works of art, and even belief systems.

In terms of deconstructing faith, it doesn’t necessarily mean losing faith. Although, it can mean losing faith in a belief system that isn’t working for us anymore. What we need to recognize is that God can handle our questions and doubts. Sometimes, we need to deconstruct our Sunday school beliefs to reconstruct an adult faith that can weather the storms of life.

This Easter season, we’ll explore deconstruction in general, the things that cause us to deconstruct, and how to reconstruct a vibrant faith worth believing in. Join us.
Join us in-person or online Sundays at 10:30am!

MAUNDY THURSDAY
Join us on Maundy Thursday at 7pm. What does “maundy” mean anyway? Some people wash feet, but don’t worry; we won’t do that. Others commemorate the institution of the Lord’s Supper; we will do that. While these acts may point to the meaning of the day, they only illustrate its meaning. So what does “maundy” truly mean? You’ll just have to join us to find out.
GOOD FRIDAY
Join with other faith communities from Wayne at Wayne Presbyterian at 11:45am to carry the cross to Saint Katharine of Siena for a 12 noon service.
EASTER SUNDAY
Worship in person and online at 10:30am
Jesus is a guy who predicted his own death and resurrection…and then actually did it! Do you have your doubts? If you do, you aren’t alone — and we aren’t simply talking about people today with a modern or postmodern mindset. Even the ancient people who followed him around for three years, witnessing all his miracles, had their doubts. Join us this Easter as we tell the most unbelievable story ever told.

SIGN UP FOR THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW STUDY NOW!
When: Mondays evenings 7-8:15pm in Fellowship Hall
Anyone seeking to be closer to God is invited to this 8 week study, led by experienced teacher, Marianne Nolan. Reading material is the booklet or PDF purchased through Seedbed.com by renowned Methodist scholar, Ben Witherington III.

Join us to explore the most complete account of the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus. Each session will include a short video of likable Ben Witherington in his very approachable style, some group discussion based on homework (about 15 min five days per week), time for reflection and maybe “Show and Tell” that Marianne often brings to her classes. Why should kids get all the fun? An emphasis will be placed on identifying and applying truth to our lives. How can we become more like Jesus? By spending time with him. This will help. Questions? Email Marianne below.
TUESDAY MORNING ON ISAIAH
When: Tuesdays from 10-11:30am on Zoom
The book of Isaiah switches between promises of judgment and restoration. The words of the prophet Isaiah are a reminder of humanity's sin, the judgment we all deserve, and how God displays His glory by saving sinners. This study reveals how the prophetic promise of cosmic renewal truly anticipates the work of Jesus Christ, the servant-king whose death brings new life for all who place their trust in him. Please contact Nancy Brown by the button below with any questions to get set up for Zoom.
WEDNESDAY MORNINGS
When: Wednesdays at 9:30am on Zoom
This fall we will be diving into the world of works by CS Lewis, including the beloved Narnia story, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, among others of his thought-provoking books. If you have questions or would like to join in on this study, please contact Katie McNabb below.

WE HAVE A CHURCH DIRECTORY!
SEND US YOUR PICTURE!
The church directory is an awesome tool to have in your pocket! Especially if you meet someone new and you want to make sure you put the name with a face! All church members are listed in the directory, and it is perfectly SAFE! You can only access it through the email the church office has on file for you and even then, you need to create a profile to access. Now is the perfect time to update your picture in the directory!! There are MANY new faces. Families have grown and are still growing, and we haven’t seen each other in person for a couple of years! It will be a refresher for all of us, as well as, help Pastor Greg learn who we are.
CHURCH DIRECTORY FOR
FIRST TIME USERS
Our church directory is available for you on your computer or your cellphone! If you haven’t signed in before, it’s super easy, just click the button below! You will be asked to enter your email address as it's listed in our directory. If your email address isn't listed in the directory, let Linda Sands know by the button below so it can be added. Once you enter your email address, follow the directions on-screen to complete the create log-in process. After you sign in, you'll see the most up-to-date directory for our church.
