County Property Assessment
Tyler Technology was contracted by Kent County Levy Court to do the reassessment of all properties in Kent County.
Starting tomorrow, Friday January 15, 2022 Tyler Technology staff will be starting in the Dover area.
Tyler staff will not ask to come into your home, they will come to the door and if you are available will be asking you some questions pertaining to your property. If you are not at home, they will still be measuring outdoors and doing the assessment. Tyler staff can be identified by bright yellow safety vests with Tyler on them, and a Kent County badge.
If you are unsure about anyone at the property - pictures and names of all data collectors can be found on Kent County's website below.

City of Dover Electric has received many calls regarding street lights being out. We are creating work orders for those requests and will repair as quickly as possible.
However....
Due to reasons beyond our control, there is a shortage of the light bulbs so it will take time to work through all of the requests.

We appreciate your patience!!
City of Dover Offices and buildings (Includes the Pitts Center and the Dover Library) will be closed to the public, and there will be no trash or recycling picked up on:

Meetings Are Going Virtual!
Due to an influx of COVID cases, for the safety of our staff and constituents, the Regular City Council Meetings and Council Committee of the Whole Meetings will be held virtually until further notice.
Log in information will be available on the agenda as well as on social media each meeting date.

Questions pertaining to the Council Meetings can be directed to the City Clerk's office at
302-736-7008.

The loose leaf collection pick up from city streets ends today (1/14/22).

Leaves can still be placed in a 35 gallon can (or less) and set out on your regular trash pick up day. Bulk yard waste (large branches) is picked up every other week, it is the same day your recycling is picked up.
No plastic or paper bags can be used.
Seems as though we take 1 step forward, 2 steps back with trying to get ahead (and stay ahead) of this virus.
