ASOP Newsletter - August 2023

Get ready for the first day of school! That means last minute fun, back-to-school clothes, haircuts and more for students.

The first day of school for students is Thursday, August 17, with early dismissal at 1:00pm.

There will be early dismissal for students at 1:00pm on Friday, August 18, as well.

School begins at 9:00am. The bell schedule for 2023-2024 is available here.

Please note that school now ends at 3:05pm every day, including Thursdays. However, one Thursday a month there will be a 1:00pm early dismissal. Those dates are shown on ASOP's calendar.

Administration, staff and faculty are excited to see ASOP's returning students and welcome our new ones!

Jane Curran Endowment Fund

The Jane Curran Endowment Fund is named in honor of the Director of Accelerated Schools of Overland Park. The fund commemorates Jane’s 40th anniversary of exceptional service to the ASOP community.

Denise Is Retiring

"Due to personal reasons, I have made the very difficult decision to retire after nine years as the Career/Vocational Counselor for ASOP.

"It is with a sense of loss, yet also joy, that I embark on this next chapter in my life. I will miss our students, parents, colleagues and friends forged here at ASOP.
