Remembering the victims and survivors of the Holocaust inspires current and future generations to work toward a better world while honoring those lost during the atrocities of the Holocaust. Yom Hashoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day, which falls this year on April 28th, reminds us of the importance of remembering — recalling the victims of the Holocaust and their stories, and ensuring that such a tragedy never happens again.
At JFS, our Holocaust Survivor Services Program values and honors the life and experiences of each one of our nearly 200 Holocaust Survivors. We provide many services, including home care, kosher meals on wheels, transportation and more, to help survivors remain comfortable and safe at home, aging in place with dignity as long as they are able.
