With funds provided by Friends of Nazareth, NBS has purchased drones and begun a drone team! The drone team is made up of high school students with an advisor and physics teacher to lead them. The team flew its first three missions in Jan 2023, and now the team is preparing and planning for their new missions in March. The students are enjoying learning through this new technology.

FON also provides funding for The Potters Wheel Youth Center. The Potters Wheel Youth Center is growing and developing new opportunities for 4-8th grade students.

Specialized coaches and school staff work with students after school to teach skills and spiritual character development. Student may sign up to participate in cycling, chess, volleyball, and Clubtime. During Clubtime, students have the opportunity to play with friends after school and also have discussions about Biblical characteristics to put into practice in their lives. We have received positive feedback from PWYC parents on what this time means to their children.

A new initiative through PWYC is for 8th grade students to learn about their identity by researching their family history or the history of someone in Nazareth. After researching, they are learning how to use technology to design a digital project.

We hope that PWYC can continue growing, expanding, and developing new programming through FON support.
