Easter Eggstravaganza Recap and Photos

We had a great time at our April 16 Easter Eggstravaganza event at Cutler Ridge Park. The free event drew hundreds of attendees. Mayor Meerbott and Council Members Lord and Coriat joined in on the celebration, which featured egg hunts, prizes, food trucks, photos with the Easter Bunny, music, face painting and many more family-friendly activities.

Thank you to all the residents, vendors and community partners for participating!

Repairs to Old Cutler Trail

Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works has completed several needed repairs to the shared use bike path along Old Cutler Road between SW 216 Street and SW 224 Street—check out this before and after comparison of one section of the path.

This path is part of Old Cutler Trail, which runs through 11+ miles of beautiful neighborhoods under the cover of a lush tree canopy. It also connects with the Biscayne Trail and Black Creek Trail, both leading into Black Point Marina.
We want YOU to join one of our Town Advisory Committees!

Our Town Advisory Committees serve to advise the Town Council on specific topics and are made up of Cutler Bay residents that regularly meet to discuss ideas and issues within the particular topic the committee oversees. They are volunteers who help shape and improve our Town.

We currently have openings in the following Committees:

Mayor Meerbott Discusses Next Steps for 16 Acres During SDCC Interview

On Tuesday, April 12, Mayor Tim Meerbott sat with South Dade Chamber of Commerce’s Lisa Greer to discuss the next steps for the 16-Acre project, GO Bond, and the future of Cutler Bay during their South Dade Shout-Out live show.

During the interview, the Mayor went over the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) the Town is currently working on to place on the Town Council’s May 18 Meeting Agenda in order to begin the process to select an architectural firm. Once the item passes, the RFQ would be active for approximately 90 days to receive bids before the final company is selected and the process to create a final site design begins.
