Thank you for attending the

2022 Oktoberfest!

Thank you to all who attended this year's Encinitas Oktoberfest event, making it a continued success. Thank you to all of the sponsors, donors, vendors, and volunteers for helping make this event possible!

A big thank you to our Entertainment Sponsor, Ting! Ting Internet is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that builds, lights and services fiber networks across the US. Ting crazy fast fiber Internet is radically different from the old, slow and unreliable copper Internet connections we're all used to. It stands to reason that Ting is radically different from the behemoth cable companies you've dealt with in the past. Ting Internet is fiber optic Internet. What does that mean? Ting runs on network infrastructure that is built with the Internet in mind.

Another thank you to our Family Tent beer sponsor, Burgeon Beer Company. Burgeon Beer Co. is a brewery and taproom based in Carlsbad, California with branches in Escondido and San Diego's Little Italy. Try their newest beer Single Source Fresh Hop IPA released last Friday! It is a Fresh Hop West Coast IPA hyper-charged with loads of lupulin squeezed from Strata hop cones that were picked from the bines & heaped into the brew within mere hours of harvest.

San Diego County Water Authority

Water Use Efficiency Rebates

As extreme drought grips the Southwest, businesses across California are taking a variety of water-saving actions. In fact, the State of California has banned watering grass in commercial-industrial-institutional settings that is “solely ornamental” and not regularly used for recreational purposes or community events.

Thankfully, the San Diego County Water Authority and its 24-member agencies offer incentives such as rebates and other resources to help businesses save money while saving water.

There are many incentives for business property owners. From turf conversions to increasing the use of recycled water, there are numerous opportunities to improve water efficiency on commercial properties

Agencies Cooperating to Refurbish Reservoir for Recycled Water
As drought conditions worsen in California, the San Elijo Joint Powers Authority is partnering with the San Dieguito and Olivenhain Municipal water districts to expand water recycling in north San Diego County.

The three districts’ cooperation in the planning and building of recycled water infrastructure dates to the early 1990s. Today, the agencies are planning a $2.2 million rehabilitation of the Wanket Reservoir. The San Dieguito and Olivenhain water districts built the 3-million-gallon reservoir in 1974.
