CSU Pueblo Foundation Invites You to be a Part of Leading the Legacy Endowment Fund

"...everyone is welcome to become a member or donate to the fund. Gifts to this fund will support CSU Pueblo students through scholarships, mentorship, volunteerism, and emergency funding. The goal is to raise $200,000 to establish an endowment from which scholarships will be awarded in perpetuity. Additional contributions to the fund will support emergency needs of CSU Pueblo students. To date, just over $100,000 has been pledged to the fund.

“Through the collaboration of Leading the Legacy founders and members—CSU Pueblo, CSU Pueblo Foundation, and community partners—our aim is to bring our community together to recognize, collectively, that everyone has the capability of making an exponential impact on CSU Pueblo and its students,” said Barbara Vidmar, CSU Pueblo Foundation Trustee and Leading the Legacy Founder."

Webinar: Designing the Flexible Attendance Accommodation for Maximum Effectiveness

On behalf of Disability Resource & Support Center and Title V - HSI Grants

Students with chronic health or mental health conditions that may be unpredictable in nature and could impact the ability to attend classes sometimes request an accommodation generally referred to as “flexible attendance.” How can Disability Resource professionals determine whether this accommodation is appropriate and if so, how to implement it effectively? This webinar will address how facilitating this accommodation requires working toward concrete outcomes rather than relying on generic statements. Explore how this accommodation can be practically designed as a concept, worded in an accommodation letter, and put into practice in collaboration with faculty. Plenty of time for Q&A will be provided.

NEW: InfoSec: Criminals are using OneNote to distribute the notorious Emotet malware.

On behalf of Information Technology Services: Information Security

Criminals are sending emails with OneNote attachments that include the notorious Emotet malware. They are using OneNote to evade defenses. If a user opens a malicious OneNote attachment and enables macros, a DLL will be downloaded and executed that installs the Emotet malware on the device. Once loaded, the malware will steal email contacts and email content for use in future spam campaigns. It will also download other payloads that provide initial access to the corporate network. This access is used to conduct cyberattacks against the company, which could include ransomware attacks, data theft, cyber espionage, and extortion.

Upcoming: Thunderwolf Flea Market

On behalf of the Student Affairs Emergency Fund and APC

Spring Cleaning? Donate your stuff to support students! Hold on to your gently-used furniture, home goods, clothing, kids stuff, sports equipment, or anything that still has use (not trash!). Your donations will be featured at the Thunderwolf Flea Market on June 3rd.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Student Affairs Emergency Fund and the APC Textbook Scholarship.

You can take your donations to Residence Life and Housing starting May 26th – details to follow.
