A message from our Missions Pastor

Hey Legacy Family,

Can you believe it is already March? Time is moving fast this year, which means mission trips will soon be here and we have to start preparing for them now. I personally cannot wait to see how the Lord uses us in the countries or areas we are being sent to. I cannot wait to see the work the Lord does in the people we visit and in those He will send out.

We will have a Missions Trip Interest Meeting for all those who are ready to “go,” those who simply aren’t sure and have questions, and those who just want to learn more about trip opportunities. If you fit any of these categories, please go to our Mission Spotlight section below and sign up for our meeting on March 27th. This meeting will provide details on where we will be going and traveling expectations. We will also discuss the spiritual aspects of going on a trip; from our perspective, if you go on mission for even one day, you are a missionary. So, we need to make sure you are just as prepared as a missionary who is sent to a distant land for many years.

I know most of us have seen the unfortunate events in Ukraine which have caused a lot of us to be saddened and concerned. Legacy Missions has had the opportunity to connect with a Ukrainian Pastor within the community. He has requested we keep Ukraine in our prayers and also said, in the weeks to come, there will be opportunities for us to minister to those in need. Be on the lookout for opportunities for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people in Ukraine.

Let us remember to take the time to pray for the Ukrainian people during this dark moment in history. As you spend time with God, lift up the innocent lives and pray for God’s protection and strength within His sovereign will for all the Ukrainian people.

Check out the rest of this month’s newsletter to find out more about how you can support families in our community and for information about our next Personal Evangelism Class scheduled for April.
Blessings,
Patrick

Missions Trip Interest Meeting
It has been awhile, but Pastor Patrick is planning several mission trips for this summer:
  • Mexico with Hearts4Mexico
  • Dominican Republic with Mission of Hope
  • Uganda with Marissa's House Projects and Heavenly Bridge Ministries

On March 27th, we will have an overall Interest Meeting for mission trips. If you are interested in going on a trip, or think you may be interested, please register to attend our Missions Trip Interest Meeting by taking this quick missions survey.

Here is a short video from Mission of Hope, serving people
in the Dominican Republic.
Pray for God to be clear on the mission opportunity He has for you.
Wells Elementary Mentor Partnership
This is an amazing opportunity to bless families in a neighborhood school. It is not too late to join us this semester at Wells Elementary. Mentor visits are only 30 minutes long, minimally every other week.

For all the details, email [email protected]
Children's Hunger Fund
The Food Pak Campaign is almost over. But you can still pick up a box from our atrium through Thursday, March 3rd, 9am-4pm, to help children in poverty in the DFW area.

The shopping list and packing details are on the flyer inside each box.

Please bring the boxes back, packed with the food items on the shopping lists, by Sunday, March 6th, so we can get them ready for distribution pick-up.
Personal Evangelism Class
Join us for this hands-on 2-session class on April 3rd and April 10th as Pastor Patrick leads our conversation, discussion, and training on personal evangelism.

We will talk about how to take our personal evangelism to the next level in this modern age and discover key do’s and don'ts when it comes to evangelism.

This class will not be offered again until later in the fall. Don't miss out!
Celebrate the Wins

Thanks to your faithful giving to the general fund, in addition to Legacy's monthly giving to our mission partners, we celebrate:
