A message from our Missions Pastor
Hey Legacy Family,
Can you believe it is already March? Time is moving fast this year, which means mission trips will soon be here and we have to start preparing for them now. I personally cannot wait to see how the Lord uses us in the countries or areas we are being sent to. I cannot wait to see the work the Lord does in the people we visit and in those He will send out.
We will have a Missions Trip Interest Meeting for all those who are ready to “go,” those who simply aren’t sure and have questions, and those who just want to learn more about trip opportunities. If you fit any of these categories, please go to our Mission Spotlight section below and sign up for our meeting on March 27th. This meeting will provide details on where we will be going and traveling expectations. We will also discuss the spiritual aspects of going on a trip; from our perspective, if you go on mission for even one day, you are a missionary. So, we need to make sure you are just as prepared as a missionary who is sent to a distant land for many years.
I know most of us have seen the unfortunate events in Ukraine which have caused a lot of us to be saddened and concerned. Legacy Missions has had the opportunity to connect with a Ukrainian Pastor within the community. He has requested we keep Ukraine in our prayers and also said, in the weeks to come, there will be opportunities for us to minister to those in need. Be on the lookout for opportunities for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people in Ukraine.
Let us remember to take the time to pray for the Ukrainian people during this dark moment in history. As you spend time with God, lift up the innocent lives and pray for God’s protection and strength within His sovereign will for all the Ukrainian people.
