Traffic Calming Options
to Be Considered
The Village Board and staff continually evaluate vehicular traffic speeds and volumes throughout Long Grove’s roadways. As part of this ongoing work, the Village is planning to hold a special meeting in April to discuss traffic-calming needs and options. More information regarding the meeting date and time will be provided in future communications. To become familiar with traffic calming, visit Institute of Transportation Engineers Traffic Calming.
Maintenance on Covered Bridge Scheduled for March 21
Repair and maintenance work is scheduled for the covered bridge this coming Monday, March 21, from 8 a.m. to noon, weather permitting. Both the bridge and sections of Robert Parker Coffin Road will be temporarily closed to through traffic while the work is performed, which will address the movement of the bridge, and minimize noise as vehicles enter and exit. For questions, please call Village Hall at 847-634-9440.
