Clouds

Have you ever looked up at the sky and considered it to be much like life?  Some days are clear and radiant blue while other days have just a few lightly scattered clouds. And in contrast to either of those, there are days when clouds shield the beautiful blue skyscape and are so overcast that you can hardly see the sun. (But the "SON" brings light to our lives and warmth to our souls...on any day! )

Today, while walking, it occurred to me that our lives are much like that. Our days are different and some days are filled with effortless sunshine and joy while other days we are confronted with clouds that seem to overshadow the clarity that we might have enjoyed in days past. 

The sky is proof of a loving, moving, resilient, overseeing God., who has the power and oversight to move and delegate the formations that we see in the skies each day. And no matter where are, there is always a sky above us. Just as our loving God is always above us, seated on  his heavenly throne overseeing each of our lives.  

Just as God is moving and changing his painted masterpiece of the skies each day,  he is also changing us.  God allows and uses clouds that come into our lives for his purposes to grow us and help us trust and depend on him more.  When we put our trust HIM, we can stand of the truth that God is in charge.  Whatever he has brought forth, he will use it for his glory and our growth.  

God is the only one who has control of the clouds that he allows to come our way, and so often those clouds fog up our thoughts and bring a quiet layer of unrest to our souls, that nag at us

or cause anxiety or fear. But no matter what our days look like and how sometimes you feel like God is distant, he is always there with you.  

God uses clouds to stretch us. The truth is that as God changes the skyscape, and changes us, BUT GOD never changes.  His love for each of his children is never clouded by circumstances or even our careless decisions and our sins. 

OUR God remains faithful; his truth forever endures, 

Whether life sends us sunshine or clouds; we are ever secure.  

“For the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”  Deuteronomy 31:6

Praise God wherever you are or whatever situation he has allowed you to be in...for his Glory will shine through!
