Dear Parents,
Thank you for all your kind comments on our new information board outside the school. Please check it often so you can be up to date on all the wonderful things going on at Kids For Kids Academy.
Thank you to all the families who highlighted time off for the summer. The sooner our families do this the sooner we can complete our staff summer vacation schedule. If you do not plan to take any time off, please write "none" after your child's name. You will find your child's name listed on their new fall class. All students will move to their new classes on June 5th. This is not a final list so some kids will still shift classes. The final list will be up soon.
You will also find on the information board information about our annual Mother's Day Event, Muffins with Mom. Please see the flyer on the board and see me if you have any questions. The times and dates by class are listed. Due to limited space, only 1 guest per child will be able to attend.
Also on the board is the sign up sheet for the next Teacher Appreciation Lunch that will be sponsored by the Yellow Door class. Many thanks to the families of Green and Red Door for the yummy treats served to our staff on Thursday. Everyone felt so loved!
Next week I will be completing the 2023-2024 school activity calendar and the summer camp calendar. This will help our families to plan early for times we are closed for the fall semester. Remember, if your child is going to be in VPK or our K-2 program, please use that calendar to plan any trips. Please do not plan trips on school days. Students who miss school days will not be able to make up work missed. Remember if your child is in VPK they only allow 3 days absent per month.
Speaking of VPK, if your child will be 4 by September 1st, you will need to apply for the VPK certificate. ALL 4 year olds qualify regardless of income. We will need that certificate for all VPK kids. To apply for the certificate go to www.vpkhelp.org .
Stay tuned for our summer camp calendar themed Passport for Fun. Starting June 5th our students age 1 1/2 to VPK will travel and learn about a different continent each week.
REMINDER: Families returning for Fall are billed the fall registration fee in three $80 installments. The first installment was billed on March 28th. The second one will be billed on April 25th. The final one will be billed on May 30th. Remember if you have more than one child in the school, only one registration fee is billed per family.
Finally, it is with sadness that I report that our marvelous music teacher Miss Clarice has taken a full-time job as a music therapist at a hospital. We will all miss her. For those families who have been with us for many years, you will remember our music teacher Miss Michelle. She stopped doing music during COVID. She will be rejoining our Kids For Kids family the first week of summer camp.
