Sixth Annual CT BHP ‘iCAN’ Conference Showcases Behavioral Health Services, Programs and Resources Available to Medicaid Recipients, Agencies and Providers throughout State

The Consumer and Family Advisory Council (CFAC) of the Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership (CT BHP) hosted the sixth annual “iCAN” Conference September 23, 2021. This year’s virtual event offered ten workshops which supported the theme of enhancing our vision of partnership by breaking through systemic racial injustice. Sessions included everything from “Fighting the Dual Epidemics of COVID-19 and Death from Overdose” to “Intergenerational Trauma,” from “Minimizing Implicit Bias in Our Journey for Racial Justice” to “Diversity Dialogues.” READ MORE
CHESS

The Connecticut Housing Engagement and Support Services (CHESS) Program, designed to provide housing and supports to homeless Medicaid members, was effective September 1, 2021. Following “Go Live’, providers submitted questions dealing with eligibility, transportation, and other issues. For this reason, we are listing some quick resources.

Beacon Health Options Honored as Connecticut Top Workplace
Beacon Health Options, administrator of the Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership, was named one of the state’s Top Workplaces by the Hartford Courant for the sixth year on September 23, 2021. Top Workplaces honored 58 companies, nonprofits and public agencies in a variety of sizes, based on responses from employee surveys. Criteria included high employee engagement, business practices and values, employee-driven innovation, and managers’ willingness to help employees learn and grow. READ MORE.
