A note from Chapter President, Susan Stein Kregar, CAE, CNAP Desert Lotus Group

Hello NAWIC Members and Friends,

We are nearly through the first month of 2022! I hope the new year is off to a great start for you, your businesses, and families.

Our chapter had a great first meeting of the year. Randy Rogers, CEO of the Tucson Association of Realtors, shared with us where Tucson's real estate market stands and what to expect this year. As the year goes on, we have additional informative and engaging speakers planned; starting with next month.

Kathy Prather, Superintendent/CEO, Pima JTED, will be our speaker at our upcoming Annual Executive Breakfast Meeting to be held on February 9th (please see flyer below). Be sure to invite your executives to this meeting, as Kathy will tell us all about the JTED program, the students, and how you, as employers, can attract their new talent to your company. In addition to company executives, I encourage you to invite a woman who may not know about NAWIC and may find us as a useful tool in her career toolbelt. We will also announce the "Member of the Year" at this breakfast meeting. If you are a nominee, please invite your colleagues!

The RSVP deadline for the Executive Breakfast is February 3rd. However, because COVID is still a concern, please help us plan and let us know as soon as you can whether you will attend. Please RSVP to jregan@rainforrent.com.

In addition to the Annual Executive Breakfast, mark your calendars for these upcoming events:
February 12 -- 3:00 p.m. -- Gaslight Theater -- The Three Musketeers (see below for details)
March 6-12 -- Women in Construction Week (WIC Week)
April 28 - May 1 --Pacific Southwest Conference (see below for details)
August 13 -- NAWIC 19th Annual Shirley Dail Bowling Tournament

Special shout-out to Ann Vargas, Gina Hansen, Yvette Pederson, and Tracy Miller for their work putting together a fantastic Women in Construction Week (WIC Week) 2022. See below for details.

Check your email soon for a survey about the NAWIC & Pima Community College Mentorship Program. Your input is an important part of launching this program.

So, that's it for now.

Stay well! I am looking forward to seeing you February 9th!

Cheers,
Susan Stein Kregar
