UPCOMING TUNNEL CLOSURE;

TWO-WAY TRAFFIC ON BRIDGE

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces an upcoming temporary overnight closure of the Belle Chasse Tunnel.

This traffic shift will occur overnight between Thursday, August 24 at 7PM and will end Friday, August 25 at 5AM. During this period, both lanes of the tunnel will be closed. In it's place, one lane of the bridge will be used for southbound LA23 traffic, creating a two-way traffic flow on the bridge. Plaquemines Parish Shariff's Office will be on site to assist.
