WELCOME LETTER FROM PTSA CO-PRESIDENTS

Dear BHS families,

Cheers! We made it through our first week of school! On behalf of your BHS PTSA, we welcome you to a new year of school and a new year of PTSA.

In the past week, more than 110 BHS families have joined our PTSA, and we met many new faces (and a few new volunteers!) during Freshman Orientation and New Student Orientation. A big THANK YOU for your involvement and support!

BHS PTSA has played an important role in our school. Every year, the PTSA contributes more than $100,000 to our school. This includes support to enhance school curriculum, student activities and athletics, staff support and appreciation, as well as helping to connect with our BHS community.

We can’t do this without your help and contributions! We encourage every BHS family to join our PTSA, ask about volunteer opportunities, and support our "Make an Impact" Fundraising Drive - coming later in the Fall!

SAVE THE DATE:

Our first PTSA General Meeting will be held on Sept. 14th in BHS Library in person, and through Teams. Dr. Anderson's Principal Coffee will start at 8:15am, followed by our PTSA General Membership Meeting. Please join us and hear from Dr. Adand get to know our PTSA. Our board members and committee chairs will be there to answer any questions you may have.

Hello, new and returning Bellevue High families!

BHS PTSA is a parent, teacher and student organization that is committed to helping students, teachers and staff succeed at school. We are working to make the greatest impact possible on the Bellevue High community, and your membership will support initiatives like increased social and emotional student support, staff appreciation, academic and college application support, sports, music programs and much more.

The PTSA is an annual membership so regardless if you are new or are a returning Bellevue High parent, it is important that you join the Bellevue High PTSA!

As a BHS PTSA member you can connect with all other Bellevue students and families through the DirectorySpot portal, our online directory, which is a benefit of being a PTSA member. You can enjoy benefits and discounts offered by the Washington State PTSA. The PTSA’s voice in advocating for our students in Bellevue and Washington is strengthened by our membership numbers.

STUDENT FORMS, INFORMATION AND APPLICATIONS

This year, all forms, information and applications are available online. By making these available online, parents will be able to access the forms and information when it is most convenient for them. It is important that all families use the list of links below to ensure a smooth start to the school year for their student.

1.Student Data Verification using ParentVue,

available beginning Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. The data verification process is available in 22 languages other than English.

Starting on August 17^th, families can:

Update their address online and provide the required proofs of address electronically.
Update their student's demographic data.
Manage student's emergency contact list.
Update student's photo permissions.

How can I update my student's information on August 17th?

Families can update their student’s information by signing into ParentVUE . The first time you log in, you will be directed to data verification. The ParentVUE App can also be used to monitor student grades and attendance, visit our Online Student Verification page for more information.

STUDENT COURSE SCHEDULE

If you believe your schedule has an error, please complete an online Schedule Correction From and submit it through the online form.

SCHEDULE CORRECTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR CORE CLASSES ONLY. If you are requesting a schedule correction you must meet at least one of the six criteria;

*Incomplete Schedule. 9th and 10th graders must be enrolled in seven classes and 11th and 12th graders must have a minimum of six classes. (Open 1st or 7th period only). *Seniors missing a course required for graduation *Prerequisite courses not completed (or previously failed) *Time conflict with a course taken at another school *Scheduled for the same course twice *Have already taken this class.

Submitting a schedule correction form is the most efficient method and will ensure it is reviewed by a counselor.
